The Feast is Christ

We have the privilege of eating the Lord’s Supper every Sunday. It is the Lord Jesus broken for you. It is the Lord Jesus, spilled out for you. His blood covers your sins, the passive obedience of Christ. His broken body enables you to do that which He has called you to do, the active obedience of Christ.

It is true that all that we are and all that we do is hid in the death and life of Jesus Christ. The sooner we come to that reality the better. So, remember each Lord’s Day as we partake of Christ that He is the continual feast. The days of fasting are gone. The days of feasting are at hand for the bridegroom is with us always, even to the end of the age. As we eat, remember that the feast is Christ.
