Jesus is King. We celebrate
this truth today. “So what,” you might say, “kings are far away from me. I am just
hoping to see Him at a distance like the crowds in Jerusalem.”
But the Kingdom of God is not like the kingdoms of men,
where the kings sit in high thrones and the people are outside or are forced to
grovel before Him if ever He passes by.
Jesus is exalted on high and He lifts us up to be exalted
with Him. He is at the Father’s right hand and we are at Jesus’s right hand,
forever! He is intimately acquainted with us. He is not merely the High King.
He is our High King. We are more than just His servants. We are His friends,
yay, even His children and heirs. Who is this King of Glory? He is the Lord of
Hosts, He is the King of glory. His name is Jesus and we are seated with Him in
glory at the right hand of the Father, forevermore. Amen.
