Dear Saints, what a glory to stand in the presence
of our God. Our sins have weighed us down. By nature, we are objects of wrath.
We were dead in our sins and wholly unable to save ourselves. But God, who is
in rich in mercy, sent His Son, Jesus, to die for sinners like you and me. But
though He died, death could not hold Him. He came bursting from the death tomb to
seize life for all His saints.
This
is the joy that was set before Him for which He gladly endured the humiliation
of the cross. And so we rise and come forth, confident in the victory of Jesus
over sin and death and with our voices join the heavenly song, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is
the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength,
and honour, and glory, and blessing.” And
every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and
such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, “Blessing,
and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him
that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” And the four beasts said, “Amen.” And the
four and twenty elders fell
down and worshipped Him that liveth for ever and ever. And the saints of
Providence Church gave Him the glory for the glory is all His and they
worshipped Him forever and ever.
