Often our expectations are
not met. We find ourselves greatly disappointed because what we had hoped for
and eagerly anticipated did not come to pass. This might even be true at
Christmas time when the present that you hoped for just doesn’t quite measure
up.
But we really should never be disappointed at Christmas. God
promised to bring a Messiah. The Jews hoped for someone to defeat the Romans
and give them freedom. But Jesus surprised them and gave them much more than
they could ever have imagined. Instead of giving them Palestine, He gave them
the world.
Jesus never disappoints. He always exceeds expectations.
This Christmas, anticipate the Savior. You won’t be disappointed.
