The Greatest Age

Our grandfathers may have been part of the greatest generation but we clearly live in the greatest age. The reason this is so is because we are Christians and the world belongs to Jesus. In a time when the elites have failed to corner the conversation, the gospel is as strong as ever. No, not true. Stronger and gaining speed.

The world is ruled by Jesus and this is good news. The pretenders are growing ever more desperate and their desperation reveals the ugly underbelly of their gods. Trying times reveal the reality underneath. The Middle East is a mess and millions flee. Where? To the West. To the place where Christ has stamped His name in stark relief. The West is trying to scrub it out but that takes a lot of doing. Besides Jesus is ruling here, too, so not so easily done.

But the Middle East is hemorrhaging citizens who flee not only ISIS but also Muhammad. They flee to Jesus. I don't doubt that 20 years will see thousands of these refugees returning to Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and other places as Christian missionaries. And returning to countries that gladly receive them.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
