The Sinner's Welcome

We begin our service by getting confessed up. We always want to be current in that department. Do not hide your sins. The Lord knows them already. A failure to confess them is another sign of unbelief because you think if no one knows about them, then you are good to go. But the Lord always knows.

So, when you confess sins, you acknowledge that you believe the Lord is and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. He is the Savior of the world, the One who died to save sinners, among whom I am chief.

And what does He prepare for such a sinner as I, such a sinner as you? He prepares a welcome meal, a banquet of the blessing that is the presence of Jesus and His Holy Spirit. This Table is the Sinner’s Welcome. Come and eat. Come and drink. Forgiven sinners are welcome.
