Own His Death

Unbelievers want to make a mockery of our faith in a dead Jesus. But we should not be afraid of them or ashamed of His death. Of course, we believe that He is alive but we also embrace the cross, His death, our death to sin in Him. We are not ashamed that Jesus died and that He died for us.

When you own the death of Jesus for your own, then you also own your death to sin. Sin shall not have control over you, for your sins are nailed to the cross with Jesus. Jesus defeated the world, the flesh and the devil at Calvary. And in Him, you have also defeated the world, the flesh and the devil. Be not unbelieving but believing. Walk in this newness of life. Be strong and courageous. Grow in grace and from grace to grace, putting to death the deeds of the flesh. 

How? By taking more of Jesus. More light. More life. More faith. More love, joy, peace, patience and self-control. More Holy Spirit. This is God’s promise to you in Jesus. Believe Him.
