Shadows to Light

What is it to move from the shadows to light? In the shadows things are not clear. You mistake ordinary things for monsters. You make bad judgments of distance, of other people’s intentions, of which things are good and which are bad. 

The shadows show us things that are not wholly true. They are phantoms of those good things that are revealed in the light. Among those good things are who Jesus is, who you are, who God’s people are. These are the good truths that are revealed in the light.

You have come out of the shadows. You are sitting in the presence of the luminous Son of God. And now you see Him. You see His people. The truth of God’s goodness is now revealed to you. Thank God for Jesus, the light of men.
