1Sam. 7:1 And the men of Kirjathjearim came, and
fetched up the ark of the LORD, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in
the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the LORD.
Eleazer
means God is our help. Our God is our protector. When we worship God as we
should and give Him the proper glory, He is our helper and not the one who
fights against us. Both the Israelites and the Philistines learned this the hard way, refusing to give Yahweh glory and stubbornly persisting in idolatry and sin. Blessing comes only after confession and repentance.
