The Lord rewards those who have given even a drink of
water in His name. The righteous are surprised that when they were obedient in
such little things that the Lord was watching and taking note.
He notices when you grant kindness to one another, serve
the weaker brother, pray for those sick and in need, offer a glass of water to
the thirsty or food for the hungry. God’s people do this sort of thing all the
time because they are like their gracious Father in Heaven. They do these sorts
of things even though they do not always know what great grace they are
extending. It is almost a gracious ignorance.
But the Lord takes note. He grants you His kingdom because
of His great grace in Jesus Christ. Ye are the blessed of the Father. Take
courage in Jesus Christ and enter into the joy of your Father.
