Dear Saints, we stand here in the presence of God and
our fellow brothers and sisters. Like them, we were once blind apart from God’s
revelation. But then we saw our own sinfulness, being made in the likeness of
Adam. And we saw our own dreadful sins, though we lamented them with sighs and
tears. This brought us down low, so low as to kneel before our Holy God.
But God, in His kindness, did not leave us in that low
condition. He exalted us to His throne through the shed blood of His own dear
Son, Jesus. He declared us to be righteous in His sight and then He seated us
in the heavenlies with Jesus at His own right hand. We who are last have been
brought to this first place of honor. We believe this to be true and now we
see.
