He Repented and Went

We are that first son who resisted his father’s will but afterwards he repented and went to do his father’s will. It was a bad start but a good finish. It’s the finish that matters.

A father is always pleased with a son or daughter who gets it right in the end. Our children are human and make mistakes, sometimes big mistakes. But when they humble themselves and repent and do that which they know that they should do, mother and father are pleased.

         Our Heavenly Father is likewise pleased with us when we turn from our sins and turn to Him. He is patient and so He gives us room to turn back to Him. And when we do, He is standing there with open arms to receive us. And so we are gathered here after repentance to do our Father’s desire. We are glad that He is pleased to receive us.
