18:15 “If your brother sins against you, go and tell
him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained
your brother.
Did you listen to this verse? Saints,
listen when you are confronted about sins. Husbands, listen to your wives when
they confront you about speaking to them or the children harshly, which is
unloving. Wives, listen to your husbands when they confront you about
disrespecting their authority in front of the children. Children, listen to
your parents when they talk to you about your bad attitude, poor choices, or
laziness.
Sinners listen to God when He sends
someone bold enough to talk to you about your faults and sins. Hear God through
them. Shut out a willing voice of rebuke and you may just be shutting out God.
The scary thing is that God may not keep sending that voice and at some point leave
you to your own devices. Then there will be silence. Don’t make that mistake.
Listen. Listen.
