O, Lord, our God, You said in the second Psalm that You would hear Your
Son and grant Him promises, even the nations as an inheritance. And in an
acceptable time You have heard Him, and in a day of salvation You have helped
Him. You have preserved Him and have given us Christ for a covenant, to
establish the earth, as an inheritance among the desolate heritages. You have
said to the prisoners, “Go forth!” and to them that are in darkness, “Show yourselves!” You have fed us in our
journeys and our pastures are in the
high places. We shall not hunger nor thirst neither shall the heat nor sun
smite us, for You have mercy upon us and shall lead us, even by the springs of the
waters of life shall You guide us. We give You glory and honor and praise.
Amen.
