What Child is This?

We can answer the question, Who’s child is this? He is Mary’s Son and God’s Son.

But that does not tell us what sort of child or man that He would be. He is not only Mary’s Son and God’s Son but He is the promised Messiah, the one who would save His people from their sins. He is the One that would bring light to the Gentiles. He is the One who would reveal God’s perfect will on Earth to men. He is the One who would serve rather than be served. He is the One who would die for the sake of the guilty. He is the One who forgives sinners, even from the cross. He is the One whom death could not hold. He is the One who is raised to life and raises to life all those who trust in Him. He is the One who sent His Spirit to dwell with us always, even to the end of the age.

         What Child is this? He is Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world!
