My dad told me once that he was too much of a sinner and had done such
terrible things that he could never be forgiven. That was not true.
Peter denied the Lord but
he wept bitterly and Jesus loved Him much. Mary Magdalene was a great sinner
but she wept before the Lord and He loved her and forgave her. Paul, too, was
against Jesus when he kept the coats for those who murdered Stephen.
These great sinners are
also some of our greatest saints. They repented of sins. The Lord, who is
gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and quick to forgive, extended His
forgiveness to them and made sure they knew that He loved them and received
them. This is the way that He gladly receives you who are forgiven sinners.
