The Lord's Compassion

Micah 7:19-20 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
Dear Saints, it is comforting to be in the presence of a gracious Father. We know that we do not always measure up to His expectations and yet we find Him full of favor, compassion and mercy. This compassion and mercy subdues our sins and rebellions. His love, kindness, mercy and grace makes us want to love and serve Him in appreciation.
It is His love that motivates our love. This is the way of man with a woman, a father with his sons and daughters, a mother towards her children, Christ towards His Church. The lover motivates love.

Furthermore, the lover is full of forgiveness. Tumultuous wrongs are forgiven and forgotten, thrown into the depths of the sea so that the calm waters return to the surface. Mercy and grace, God’s kindness to us in Jesus Christ.
