Dear Saints, our Lord Jesus is a faithful
bridegroom. Through His own sacrifice, He has taken our sins upon Himself so
that He could present His Church to His Father as the bride of Christ, a
glorious church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. This is the fruit of
a faithful husband.
We are
gathered here as God’s people in all of our messes. We may be aware of our mess,
and even ashamed, but our Father sees us as presented in Jesus Christ. His
blood has cleansed us and we are welcomed into God’s presence as a Holy and
perfect bride. We do not come to Him in shame but in the glorious, holy and
perfect name of Jesus.
