The wise men brought Gold, Frankincense
and Myrrh to Jesus. These were their treasures and they gave them to Jesus.
With some imagination, we can apply these gifts to our own lives. God has given
His all for you. He has given His Son. It is only fitting that we honor Him
with our lives.
Give Him your gold, your money, your desire for wealth or the status of place or power or prestige.
Give Him your Frankincense, your aroma, your own person, your body, your mind, your thoughts, the special things that make you, you.
Give Him your Myrrh, your ability to heal others or things, your God-given talents, your vocation.
In this place, the Father gives us Jesus and we give Him our gold, frankincense and myrrh, namely, we give ourselves, gladly, with thanksgiving.
