One Table

Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

         These are glorious words, some of the most glorious in all of Scripture. They reveal much about the Father, Jesus, the Spirit, the Church and our connection to each of them. God is at work in us, through Jesus, by His Spirit and in the Church.

         And now we come to the Table. Just so, there is one Table. We are seated at The Table of God. There is only one food and only one drink, the body and blood of Jesus, given for you.

All those gathered in Christ Jesus, are now eating with us and we with them. In Him, we hold together and nothing can separate us from the love of God in Jesus or the unity that we have in Him. We are one even as the Father and the Son and the Spirit are One, a glorious Tri-unity.

         And so we are one Family, the world of believers in Jesus, a number of brothers and sisters, world without end, too many to count, all rejoicing in thanksgiving at this Table of feasting, one Table.
