Sometimes
we act as if serving Jesus Christ was such a mystery. We make a mystery of the
Lord’s will. We make a mystery of the Spirit’s leading. We make a mystery of
the work of the Church in the world. But while these were all mysteries in the
old world before Jesus came to Earth, none of them are mysteries now.
We have the privilege of being in
Christ, where the mysteries of God’s work in the world are revealed. It is true
that we do not know the future in detail and in that sense there is some mystery.
But we do know that our Father has sent His Son and His Spirit to dwell with us
always. We do know that we are welcome in His presence and that all fear of His
wrath is removed in the perfect work of Jesus. He loves us because He loves His
Son and we are in Him. His love towards is mystery no more.
