Faith, Confidence, Boldness, Access, Thanksgiving

Dear Saints, as we are making our way through Ephesians, we have been talking about assurance of faith in Jesus Christ. Through our elder brother Jesus we have confidence that God is our Father. And confidence that God is our Father enables us to boldly enter into His presence.
Think about this for a second. Our Father is the one who created the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that in them is. He created Adam and Eve and the garden and commanded them to eat of everything except the tree of the knowledge of good evil. They ate and they hid. And even in the days of Moses, the people were afraid to approach the holy mountain, lest God strike out against them. And the priests entered the holiest place once a year, in fear and trembling, lest they offend this holy God and perish.

Our God is still holy. He is holy, holy, holy. And yet, we are in Jesus and in Jesus we are invited, yea, commanded to come into the presence of God Almighty, with confidence and boldness, into the very holy of holies, and there be filled with the glory of the Holy Spirit as He hovers over the mercy seat. Mercy, grace, peace, faith, confidence, boldness, access, thanksgiving.
