A Sweet Savor

Noah sacrificed to God and the Lord smelled a sweet savor. If the Lord received Noah’s offering, how much more will He receive ours? We offer Him the only perfect and permanent sacrifice, the Lord Jesus Himself.
And in Jesus, we offer the sacrifice of praise. Our prayers ascend into Heaven, where our Father receives them as a sweet smelling aroma, and He is pleased with us.
And then we come to this meal, the meal of thanksgiving, where we remember the Lord’s kindness to us in Jesus and offer thank offerings to Him and the Lord gladly receives a humble and thankful heart. It is a sweet savor to Him.
